BBQ for Easter Brunch

Spring is in the air, Easter is on the way, and you may be thinking about which meal you’ll serve for Easter. BBQ may seem like an unusual choice, but trust us, there’s nothing quite as succulent as an Easter BBQ brunch or quite as fun as a BBQ picnic while the kids hunt for eggs. Need some ideas on how to plan your festivities? We have some suggestions.

  • Do you love a traditional Easter dinner? It may be hard for you to forego the fancy linens and china, but take some time to plan a Pinterest-worthy picnic, and you may find it just as satisfying. A beautiful blanket, photo-worthy foods, and picnic ware that’s just a little upscale, and you’ll satisfy your inner Martha Stewart or June Cleaver. A brunch is even better, because you can host it both indoors and out, which gives you an opportunity to pull out your favorite serving dishes and platters.
  • Some Easter dishes translate well to dining al fresco. Your spiral cut ham will be delicious in sandwiches, and salads are just begging to be put in Mason jars this season. Easter eggs? They’re already portable. For a delicious twist on holiday fare, try some Easter egg-shaped BBQ sandwiches for greater portability.
  • Brunch offers a variety of ways to serve Easter BBQ. Especially if you use pre-cooked meats, barbecue is easy to toss into a quiche or frittata, and livens up any salad. You can also serve it as it is, with biscuits or buns on the side for guests to prepare their own sandwiches.
  • Don’t forget dessert! Whether a brunch or an Easter BBQ picnic, no holiday meal is complete without desserts. Of course, the kids will already be sugared up from their baskets full of goodies, but appropriately decorated cupcakes will transport easily and are sure to be a crowd pleaser. Feeling like firing up the grill? Try this Grilled Pound Cake with Bananas and Chocolate Sauce for a slightly different kind of Easter dessert.

No matter how you choose to schedule it, whether brunch or a BBQ picnic later in the day, let Tony Roma’s help you plan the perfect Easter BBQ. Easy to prepare in just about 20 minutes, Tony Roma’s pre-cooked ribs and pulled meats make entertaining a snap, no matter what the occasion.
